Lavatera

Also known as Mallows, these semi-dwarf annuals have rosy-pink blooms.

Lavatera

  • They like full sun and an average amount of water. They prefer well-drained soil.
  • Plant the seeds 6 to 9 inches (15 to 23 cm) apart and cover them with a light sprinkle of soil. These seeds need 2 to 3 weeks of 70°F (21°C) temperatures to germinate, so don't plant them too early.
  • The plant will grow to about 4 inches (10 cm) high.
  • The seeds can be saved for the following year.
