Mini Rows
Planting seeds in mini rows will help you identify weed seedlings because the ones you planted will come up in straight rows.
- Refer to the spacing needs your mature plants will require on the back of the seed packet and plant your rows that far apart.
- For example, carrot seeds need to be spaced 1 to 2½ inches (2.5 to 6.4 cm) apart.
- For mini rows, space the rows just 1 to 2½ inches (2.5 to 6.4 cm) apart, but maintain the same space between the seeds.
- You will need to do less thinning if your plants are far enough apart, but the rows are a little closer together.
